Google Announces “Google Photos”

Google today announced a big push into the photo storage world with a brand new Google Photos app for Android, Web, & iOS.

The new service is the offspring of Google+ Photos without the Google+ social junk.  Google is hoping to be your new hub for storing photos online and they are doing it all for free.

This new service will allow you to store unlimited photos up to 16 megapixel, and 1080p HD Video completely free.  No price to you at all, backed up in the cloud, and available on all your devices from anywhere in the world.

The service almost sounds too good to be true.  The new service also contains Google’s intelligence as the service can organize all your photos for you, and enable smart searching.  No longer will you have to scroll through pages and pages of photos.  Search will help you find the exact photo you’re looking for.

After you have found the image or video you can share it on many of the most popular social media networks, or ever send a special link to anyone you know.  The best part about using the Link is it does not require a special app or sign in to view the photos.

Google Photos is launching today and will available at photos.google.com
